Di " Ramses: The Awakening ", new for 2009 of Gardaland, has already spoken on the occasion of your ad. Its official opening is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2009. However, since yesterday it was possible to test soft-opening mode, or in a mode that precedes the official opening, which is used to evaluate and monitor the effects, problems and all that can keep up such an attraction.
short, got the enthusiasm, and for looking, I went to the park today without knowing that I found the doors of "Ramses" completely wide open! And I'm here to tell you my impressions about what has been called by many (in a rather ridiculous, in my opinion) a "massacre" against those who, until last year, was a symbol of the attraction park on Lake Garda.
Warning! All that I am going to write about the opening soft opening of the attraction. The final version has been operational since June 19, 2009, and may differ in some details.
The entrance has remained virtually unchanged. On the right, once entered the waiting area itself, has been placed a nice truck GSU (Group UFO Studies), which you can see in the picture that acts as a side dish to my post.
Here and there were places in the plasma screens with a nice introductory video that introduces us to our history as a backdrop to the attraction.
A quick look at the regulation:
And we are ready to embark on the mission!
boats, in my view, very, very pretty, are almost the same as the old "Valley of the Kings", suitably modified. In the middle row is the electrical equipment necessary for the operation and storage of game data. Now you can take on 2 people per row, for a total of 4 people to a boat. Despite everything, even the back row can play unhindered view. Each station is now equipped with a gun-shaped flashlight and a small screen that indicates the score during the game!
The mechanism is very simple. Along the way we will find a number of light fixed targets, the actual lights, three different colors: green gives a score of 30 points, the blue gives a score of 70 points, while red gives a score by chance. Hitting a target with the flashlight flashing it means for a few seconds and then it shut down until its revival about a second later. In practice you can hit the same target a thousand times, considering that by the time it is struck, at the time when you can hit him again, spend about four seconds. Hitting certain targets generates some effects, such as turning on some lights.
At the end of the path we will see "published" on two plasma screens all the scores of all vessels. It 's a shame that is not reported the highest score achieved during the day, it would be a good reference for an order of magnitude in the later games.
Virtually all the scenes we were used to no longer exist, they have gone well with that pile of mannequins / animatronics that no longer had anything to say, and those who still had something to say in the last 10 years have not been able to do so, or having their jaws broken faces literally torn ...
There are 7 main scenes of the game, the division into rooms is almost the same as the old Valley of the Kings, with the appropriate changes. I will not dwell on the detail of these rooms, because my explanation would make absolutely no merit to work, as it was not for the famous images published a few days ago, which have caused such a stir. But the one on which I want to emphasize is that Ramses succeeds perfectly in order that it was responsible with its type. Create standby, create fun, create competition, in a spectacular setting that is definitely not the best that we could get, but who wisely plays his work, without overdoing it.
In my opinion the fault of Ramses is to have the game rooms very large, which then would require a fairly high level by the detail spectacular. Maybe then it would be better to subdivide the environment, but this would demand a greater restyling and more time spent working, and still deals with themes that I did not compete.
For the moment I have not seen any animatronic moving, no particular environmental effect, and I do not know if these will be integrated in the future, if they are provided.
Ultimately I am very satisfied with this new realization, because this is it, and make me laugh all those who cried foul complaining about the "destruction of a symbol of the park" until last year when no one if the spinning because of its situation to say the least horrifying. Guys, wake up! It is not a facelift, but a readjustment, and it would be appropriate for the look with the eyes full of novelty, rather than nostalgia. The old "Valley of the Kings" had already died years ago and now had nothing more to say. So I can say is that Ramses is awakened, and it is good that he does not go against! :-)
I found many positive responses from people, definitely not a game for everyone, but in any case raises curiosity and fun and I'm glad I did, after about 10 years, well 20 minutes queue to board the transport system ... was now!
One council. Take it for what it is now, and not for what it was. It 'the only way to fully appreciate and enjoy this new attraction!
